Sequence and Momentum

July 8, 2013

Through sequence, momentum can play a crucial role in the final manifestation of an image. The fleeting nature of objects and moments can cause an image to be unique and inimitable even when made in sequence. These moments cannot be repeated. This discovery refers to an essential characteristic of photography: the ability to preserve a passing moment. We use the speed of a camera as a tool to catch this brief encounter. There is only one image that captured the moment right, yet all the images made in that effort are kept too, because choosing between the images seems to be an impossible task.
