Moment and repetition

July 8, 2013

Looking at unintended stereoscopy we’ve noticed that sometimes moment plays a crucial role in the final appearance of an image. These photographs were taken one after another, but because the depicted situation and objects were in motion we can see that – even though they were taken sequentially – the same moment can’t be repeated. This discovery refers to an essential characteristic of photography: the ability to preserve a passing moment.
